General Information

Heimspiel IT ("we", "us", or "our") operates mobile applications and web services. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our products.

We take your privacy seriously. Our products are designed with a privacy-first approach, collecting only the minimum data necessary to provide our services.

Data Collection

The information processed depends on the product or service you use. The general categories below do not mean that every app collects this information. Selectr's local storage and use of Apple services are described separately below.

• Usage data: Anonymous usage statistics to help us improve our products. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Device information: Basic device information such as operating system version and device type, used solely for compatibility and debugging purposes.
• User-provided data: Any information you voluntarily provide, such as feedback or support requests.

Selectr

Selectr processes photos on your device. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. Heimspiel does not operate a server for Selectr sessions or collections. Selectr does not upload your photos, review decisions, or collection drafts to Heimspiel.

Data stored on your device

Preferences, recent folders and their access permissions, saved review progress, import records, and collection drafts are stored in Selectr's local app storage. Review progress includes filenames, picks and rejects, and your position in a folder. Collection drafts include photo and album identifiers, your selection, and its order. Selectr does not provide a server-based sync service for this data.

Image previews, photo metadata, and resolved place names are cached temporarily in memory. Use Reset Everything in Selectr Settings to remove the app's saved local data. This does not delete your photo files or exported Photos albums.

Files and external drives

Selectr accesses folders, memory cards, and external drives after you choose them in the system file picker. It reads photos and their metadata to display and organize them, and imports or exports files when you request it. Copy keeps source files in place. Move is a separate action that requires confirmation and removes a source file after its copy has been verified.

Apple Photos and Collections

Collections requests access to your Photos library to browse albums, display photos, and save exported JPEG copies to an album. Full Photos access is required to list albums. Collection exports do not modify or delete the original Photos assets. You can change Photos permissions in your device's Settings. Saved collection drafts remain until you delete them or use Reset Everything.

If you use iCloud Photos, Apple's services may download photos or sync albums and exported copies according to your Photos settings.

Photo locations and Apple Maps

Selectr does not request your device's current location. When you open the location view for a photo with GPS metadata, it uses that photo's coordinates to display a map and look up a place name through Apple Maps. These requests can send the photo coordinates and requested map area to Apple. They do not upload your Selectr session or collection to Heimspiel.

Place names are cached temporarily on your device. Map content and location lookups are provided by Apple and can require internet access. See Apple Maps & Privacy.

Sharing and network use

When you export files, save copies to Photos, open content in another app, or use the system share sheet, the destination you choose receives that content. Cloud file providers can transfer files according to their own settings and privacy policies. Selectr's sessions and drafts are stored locally, while Apple Maps, iCloud Photos, and cloud file providers can use the internet.

This Website

This website integrates Vercel Web Analytics to help us understand website traffic. It sends page-view information to Vercel, such as the visited page, referring website, and browser and device type, for aggregate statistics. This website integration is separate from the Selectr app and does not receive your Selectr sessions or photos. More information is available in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Other Products

Other apps may use third-party services, such as analytics or crash reporting. Their data practices depend on the product and the services it uses. Please also review the privacy information provided in the respective app and by those services.
